The owners of the vehicle were notified and after Crime Scene Units processed the vehicle, it was released back to their possession. The day after, the same two officers arrived at a client’s apartment complex finding broken glass and belongings on the ground. After canvassing the area, they learned a dark vehicle sped off the property from the area where the items were found. The lead Excalibur Security Team officer contacted CMPD. After CMPD arrived, the highly trained second EST officer noticed a letter from Hyundai as well as a business card with a name and phone number on it on the ground.

Around midnight, a Grey Hyundai Sonata sped onto the property and rounds the corner where both Excalibur Security Team officer and CMPD officers were located. CMPD attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the vehicle fled. After a 45-minute chase two subjects were arrested. One subject was believed to be living at the same apartments Excalibur was protecting. After further investigation, CMPD believes that the suspects are linked to seven other stolen vehicles. Excalibur turned over the car thieves’ information to the Property Management company and have request they start the eviction process.
