The first successful case occurred in April, requiring both their Private Investigator/Executive Protection Specialist (EPS), as well as Uniformed Armed EST Security Officers. In April, the client (names withheld) requested EST post an EPS agent inside the office, and two Armed Security Officers – one at the administrative site and one at a plant location. Once the termination of an employee was complete, the Protection Specialist followed the subject to ensure they were not headed to the plant location to retaliate in some manner.
During our surveillance, the Specialist observed the subject driving directly to the plant location as predicted. Using their secure two-way radio, the threat was communicated along with the subject’s location. At that time, it was decided to move from covert to close surveillance, so the subject knew they were being followed. Once the ex-employee spotted EST personnel, they immediately altered their route and drove out of town.
The second case began with our posting on May 2nd, 2023, and only required EST’s Armed Security Officers since the ex-employee had already been terminated and was not present on site. On May 3rd, without warning, EST Officers were able to deter a workplace violence incident. The Officers witnessed a female driving to the work site with the subject male putting on a ski mask while in the car, then exiting the vehicle. Once the driver spotted the EST Officer and marked security patrol vehicle, she pointed out our personnel and the subject re-entered their car and the two drove away without incident.
